WINNER OF THE 2017 CICADA PRIZE FOR POETRY, MAI VAN PHAN ACCLAIMED AS THE VIETNAMESE 'PEOPLES' POET' - PAPERBACK INCLUDES FREE DOWNLOAD OF THE BEST-SELLING KINDLE EBOOKMai Van Phan, is a highly acclaimed Vietnamese Poet. He is recipient of numerous prestigious literary awards for his poetry. When asked about his latest book of poetry "Firmament Without Roof Cover" Phan says: " I have seen the loss and leftovers of the poetic trends and phenomena over the past century... I have left the old poetics of experiences, emotions, feelings behind...moving beyond the restrictions of traditional forms.
"Each poem I write is always a beginning. There are still human relationships around, the desire and hope for a better life with more justice and freedom... but it is as if I've just met these elements for the first time and continue to be awed by this new atmosphere, here in Vietnam, which is both conscious and passionate."
" I returned to the place I was born to understand the culture of the northern regions of Vietnam; the customs, traditions and identities of the people in the Red River Delta in the countryside and sacred atmosphere, in a simple and original moon season, in the love for nature and humanity."
" I write the multiple dimensions of emotions and new ideas, as well as mixing and overlapping many dimensions of time and space in my poetic work as you will read in this book, Firmament Without Roof Cover
We based our evaluation of book condition on the following criteria:
* New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unread copy in perfect condition.
* Like New: An apparently unread copy in perfect condition. Dust cover is intact; pages are clean and are not marred by notes or folds of any kind.
* Very Good: A copy that has been read, but remains in excellent condition. Pages are intact and are not marred by notes or highlighting, but may contain a neat previous owner name. The spine remains undamaged.
* Good: A copy that has been read, but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact, and the cover is intact. The spine may show signs of wear. Pages can include limited notes and highlighting, and the copy can include "From the library of" labels or previous owner inscriptions.
* Acceptable: A readable copy. All pages are intact, and the cover is intact (the dust cover may be missing). Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but the notes cannot obscure the text.
